AcumenEd is committed to protecting the privacy of students, educators, and administrators who use our platform. As a company serving Michigan charter schools, we understand the sensitive nature of student education records and take our responsibility as data stewards seriously.

We operate as a “school official” under FERPA, meaning we access education records only to provide services on behalf of schools. We never sell personal information or student data.

This policy applies to all users of AcumenEd services, including our web application, APIs, and related services.

For student education records, parents and eligible students should contact their school directly, as the school is the data controller.

AcumenEd processes student data on behalf of schools. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent as required by COPPA. Schools are responsible for obtaining necessary consents for their students.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
